If I remember correctly, I have been at your school since 2005. Of course, during this time I have been absent several times, but I still try to keep in touch.
When I practice tai chi regularly, I feel that my energy increases a lot. I get less tired at work. I am a teacher and I deal with children who have a lot of energy. I get stronger. While it is an exercise that is not, let’s say, an aerobic exercise, my legs get stronger, I have greater balance, I understand that.
And I also have an example. I noticed at some point that my reflexes were very fast compared to a period before. Qigong unblocks the muscles in various parts of my body a lot. The fact that we practice slowly gives me great peace on a mental level. I go inside myself and communicate with myself. I cannot say that these arts have changed only one thing for me. It has changed a lot for me.
There was an event that really impressed me. I was in a phase where I was trying to quit smoking at the time, and one night I went out and smoked a lot. Going to tai chi and doing that time, I felt that here in my chest there was a box, a square that was full of smoke and at that moment I felt this box – so to speak, that it was something that didn’t belong to me. In other words, it wasn’t Irene, it was something foreign. That stayed in my mind and little by little I managed to quit smoking.
Thank you very much.
